There are 6 ranks of Cub Scouts for children aged 6 to 10. A child can enter Cub Scouts at any age and rank, though each new scout must first earn Bobcat rank. The ranks, in order, are Bobcat, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos I and Webelos II. For example, if your child is 8 years old, then he would join our Pack as a Bear. With the help of the other children in his Bear den, he would first earn his Bobcat rank and badge (awarded to all new scouts in November or December). Then together with all the children in his den, he would work on his Bear requirements to earn his Bear rank and badge in June.
How does rank advancement work?
